* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success will hold an ACEing Your Notes Study Skills Workshop from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 6) in 209 Heskett Center. To maximize the effectiveness of notes taken in class, learn strategies to help your performance. Light refreshments will be provided.

* Come share with others what apps help you on a daily basis or hear about your next download for your iPad/iPhone, Android, or Windows8 device at the "'That's a Cool App' Sharing Session" hosted by the Media Resources Center at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 6).

* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Chemistry Colloquium series is professor Hua Zhao of the Savannah State University presenting "Glycol-Functionalized Ionic Liquids for Enzymatic Transformation of Carbohydrates," at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 6) in 224 McKinley Hall.
* Faculty and staff who need to acquire regalia for spring commencement should contact Julie at 978-7021, or Tanya at 978-7031 at the University Bookstore between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. If you plan on purchasing, your order needs to be placed by Friday, March 8. If you are renting, you have until Friday, March 29.
* The WSU Women's Association will hold a Spring Fling Fashion Show Extravaganza to raise scholarships for WSU students from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, in the CAC Theater. Come for an afternoon of fun, food and entertainment. The Wichita State Distinguished Gentlemen Top Administrators "Dress for Success" will be revealed. Tickets are $25 per person, $20 is tax deductible. Ten-dollar student tickets also are available. Contact Angela Linder at 978-5024 for tickets or more information.
* Student Perception of Teaching Effectiveness (SPTE) request forms have been mailed to your department. Check with your department's office assistant if you did not receive one.
