* Applications are invited for six Orientation Faculty Fellow positions, one in each academic college. Each Fellow will receive a $3,000 stipend for his or her time. To apply, send a letter of application explaining why you are interested and what you will bring to the position, and a current c.v. to ofdss@wichita.edu. The deadline is April 5.

* The Council of University Women Annual Scholarship Bash will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Preferred Health Systems Multi-Purpose Center at Koch Arena. Enjoy a pirate lunch and dessert for $13. There will be a silent auction with Shocker memorabilia, hotel rooms, tickets to various locations and much more. Contact any CUW member or the University Bookstore for tickets.
* The Central Services supply room will be closed for staff development all day Wednesday, March 20. Paper deliveries will be made on Tuesday, March 19. Please plan ahead for your supply needs.
* From today (Monday, March 18) to Friday, March 22, the Heskett Center will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. The Heskett Center will be open from 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24.
* The submission deadline for abstracts from undergraduate students participating in the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Forum is Tuesday, March 26, for the April 9 event at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers -- especially drivers -- to be conversation leaders. You will be conversation partners spending time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills. If you are a native speaker of American English and would like to volunteer, send an email expressing your interest to william.thomas@wichita.edu.
* New campus maps are available to be picked up from 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. weekdays in the Office of University Relations, 102 Morrison Hall. Faculty and staff are welcome to count out and pick up maps on a first-come, first-served basis as long as supplies last.
