* "The brave new world of HIV/AIDS prevention" is the public lecture for the Watkins Visiting Professorship Lecture Series at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in 209 Hubbard Hall. The guest lecturer is Michael Hendry, a world-renowned cirologist and public health researcher. He also will present a scientific lecture, "Combination biomedical interventions to prevent HIV infections," at 4 p.m. Monday, March 25, in 218 Hubbard Hall.

* Applications are open for Shocker Leadership Awards. This new initiative aims to recognize the work of student led organizations, students, faculty and staff at Wichita State.

* A training session for Intermediate Word 2010 will be offered from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in 119 Jabara Hall. This hands-on training focuses on tabs, tables and tracked changes, which is sometimes referred to as redlining. To view training dates and register for the class, log into myWSU, select EmpHelp (orange cube underneath the Weather) and myTraining. Click the Register button to view session details and register for training.

* Project RunAway is coming up soon from 7-11 p.m. Friday, April 12. The ShiftSpace Gallery event is free to all students with a WSU ID. Tickets and entry forms are available online.

* The WSU printmaking department will host internationally renowned Francisco Souto for the C.A. Seward Guest Print Maker Program in residence from Monday, April 1, to Saturday, April 6. Souto will conduct artist lectures, printmaking demonstrations and work on a limited edition print. The limited edition print will be available for purchase for $100.
