OMA reschedules Weems lecture for April 2

The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites you to the rescheduled lecture "The Evolution of the Trillion Dollar African American Consumer Market" by Robert E. Weems Jr. at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in 209 Hubbard Hall. Weems, the Willard W. Garvey Distinguished Professor of Business History at WSU, will discuss the birth, growth and development of the African American consumer market.

One hundred years ago, African Americans were a predominantly rural population with a limited disposable income. In 2013, blacks are a predominantly urban population possessing annual collective spending power that reached $1 trillion in 2012.
