Zach's Wishes for Miracles offers scholarship opportunity
Zachary Walter Mesch became a WSU student in fall 2008 and immediately embraced every moment of his college career. Zach quickly joined the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon and became the Wu mascot, along with various other campus activities.
Already a cancer survivor, Zach knew the value of life and was determined to leave a positive legacy at Wichita State. In November 2009, Zach relapsed with Leukemia, losing his battle on July 4, 2010.
Zach's Wishes for Miracles has been created to promote the ongoing memory of Zachary Walter Mesch through donations to organizations that made a difference in his life and individuals who embody the same drive and spirit that Zach exemplified each day of his life.
All incoming, undergraduate and graduate WSU students are encouraged to apply. Grade point average is only slightly factored, and the scholarship is not based on need.
Extracurricular activities and philanthropic service will be considered most heavily.
