* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Chemistry Colloquium series is professor Enrique de la Cruz of Yale University at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 3) in 224 McKinley Hall. The lecture will be "How cells use chemistry and physics to break the bones that power their movement."
* You are invited to attend the Rie Bloomfield Organ Series Wednesdays in Wiedemann with Lynne Davis organ recital at 5:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 3). The program showcases two masterpieces by Cesar Franck and J.S. Bach. Free admission.
* The next Practical Entrepreneur Training Tools workshop is "Cloud Computing: How it Will Change IT forever" by Andrea Feodorov from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, in Devlin Hall. The cost is $45. Call to register at 978-3000.
* KMUW's spring on-air pledge drive begins Thursday, April 11. KMUW is looking for volunteers (new and experienced) to answer pledge phones. Volunteers will need to attend one training session (an hour or less) at KMUW. Training sessions are scheduled for 7 a.m. and noon Monday, April 8, and noon and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9. Call Pat Hayes at 978-7171 to sign up for a time that works for you.
* U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has released a new version of the I-9 Employee Eligibility Verification Form. WSU will use this for all new hires effective March 18. If you use the lecturer-grad assistant (GTA) or student-grad (GA) spreadsheets for hiring students, graduates, work-study, graduate teaching assistants or lecturers, download the updated spreadsheet from the OHR forms menu. Current employees do not need to complete a new I-9 form. If you have questions, call Human Resources at 978-3065.

* The Shocker Pride Celebration will be held Wednesday, April 24, in 209 Hubbard Hall. There will be a reception to meet and greet the honorees at 3 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 3:30 p.m. Please respond to the Shocker Pride Celebration invitation and confirm attendance to campus box 62 by Wednesday, April 17.
