'Inocente' screening with panel set for April 11

Social work students are hosting a documentary screening of the Oscar-winning documentary "Inocente" at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, in 208 Hubbard Hall. The 45-minute documentary follows a young teenage girl named Inocente who is homeless and also an artist. It is an inspiring documentary of hope despite the difficulties of homelessness from a youth's perspective. Cynthia Martinez, USD 259 McKinney Vento Program, Homeless Education Liaison, and Tate Toedman, state coordinator of Education for Homeless Children and Youth, are discussion panelists.
