Results of community survey to be announced

You are invited to hear the results of the Community Investments Plan survey at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, in the King Room, Marcus Welcome Center. The Community Investments Plan survey was sent out to 25,000 randomly selected Wichita and Sedgwick County citizens earlier this year. Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer, Sedgwick County Chairman Jim Skelton, director of the Metropolitan Area Planning Department John Schlegel, and Mark Glaser and staff of the Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs will make remarks regarding survey process and results.

The survey asked pertinent questions about issues facing the Wichita and Sedgwick County community. Results will be used to help update the comprehensive plan, and to also continue a community conversation about the issues.

Survey results include community feedback on a number of issues: infrastructure (streets, roads, freeways), economic development, quality of life, culture and recreation, public transportation, water and community development.
