* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Physics Seminar Series will be professor Robert Szoszkiewicz of Kansas State University at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, April 18) in 126 Jabara Hall. Szoszkiewicz will present "Exerting mechanical force on single proteins."
* Wichita State's College of Engineering will host the seventh annual Engineering Design and Development (EDD) Annual Project Lead The Way Scholarship Competition and Showcase from 4-6 p.m. today (Thursday, April 18) at Hughes Metropolitan Complex.
* The David and Sally Jackman Scholarly Lecture Series and the Department of Anthropology will present two talks by Marc Levine at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, April 18) in 211 Hubbard Hall, and 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, in 100 Lindquist Hall. * Tuition assistance for benefits-eligible, nonteaching employees at WSU is available for summer. Staff are limited to a maximum of a three credit-hour class for the summer term.

* The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers -- especially drivers -- to be conversation leaders. You will be conversation partners spending time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills.
