* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Chemistry Colloquium series is professor Rebecca Lai of the University of Nebraska at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 17) in 224 McKinley Hall. The lecture will be "Folding-based Electrochemical Biosensors."
* The Tilford Commission will hold its final meeting of the semester from 3:30-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 17) in 111 Lindquist Hall. All members of the WSU community are welcome to join the commission.
* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Physics Seminar Series will be professor Robert Szoszkiewicz of Kansas State University at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in 126 Jabara Hall. Szoszkiewicz will present "Exerting mechanical force on single proteins."
* The Wichita Jazz Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, April 19-20, in Miller Concert Hall. Two of the three events are free and open to the public. A third event will require tickets, but is free to students.

* The fiscal year 2014 budget process begins at the departmental level with the entering of budget information into WSU's Enterprise Reporting software. Budget officers and budget review officers for state orgs (non-research orgs) are invited to attend one of the upcoming FY14 Budget Information and Enterprise Reporting Training Sessions or the open lab session for individual help.
