Supporters of Wichita State who have set up scholarships in the WSU College of Engineering had an opportunity to meet with the students who receive those scholarships during a breakfast on April 19 at the Marcus Welcome Center.

About 100 people attended the breakfast, emceed by Vish Prasad, interim dean of the college.

Student speakers included senior Dustin Greer, Michael Oum and Michael McCallop Jr. Greer told audience members how grateful he was for the scholarship assistance he received, adding that he doesnâ€™t think he would have been able to attend college without it.

Oum and McCallop, along with Wes Britson of Professional Engineering Consultants of Wichita, gave a presentation to the attendees about the recent activities of the WSU chapter of Engineers Without Borders.

Also speaking at the event were WSU President John Bardo and Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the WSU Foundation.
