* Faculty, staff and students are invited to an open forum presentation by Donald Simpson, chairman of the Department of Laboratory Sciences at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. today (Thursday, May 2) in 302 Ahlberg Hall. Simpson is the second of three candidates to visit campus for dean of the College of Health Professions position at WSU.

* The Unclassified Professional spring general meeting will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. today (Thursday, May 2) in 211 Hubbard Hall. Plan to attend and hear updates from President Bardo, Vice President for Administration and Finance Mary Herrin, and Executive Director of Government Relations Andy Schlapp. In addition, UP Senate election results will be announced. If you are unable to attend, the meeting will be streamed live and recorded and placed on the UP Senate website.
* Modern classical languages and literatures, political science and Sigma Delta PI invite you to the second symposium "Mapping Latin America Through its Literatures and Cultures" from 4:30-6 p.m. today (Thursday, May 2) in 100 Lindquist Hall. These student presentations, given in Spanish, explore how Latin America has been constructed, invented and represented through its literatures and cultures.

* The WSU Graduate School will host the ninth annual university-wide Graduate Research and Scholarly Projects Symposium (GRASP) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the Marcus Welcome Center. Judges are needed.
