* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Physics Seminar series is professor Eric Toberer of Colorado School of Mines at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 1) in 126 Jabara Hall. The lecture will be "Rational design of complex thermoelectric materials."
* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Chemistry Colloquium series is professor Shaorong Liu of the University of Oklahoma at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 1) in 224 McKinley Hall. The lecture will be "High-Pressure Miniaturized Electroosmotic Pump for HPLC."
* Wichita State will host 3rd Annual Organ POPS concert from 5:30-6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 1) in Wiedemann Hall. Admission is free.
* Accomplished poet and Wichita State graduate Craig Blais returns to campus for a reading at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 1) in the Ulrich Museum's Beren Gallery as part of WSU's "Writing Now, Reading Now" series. This event is free and open to the public, and begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m.
* Join us in highlighting this year's very best in teaching and research at WSU's 2013 Faculty Awards with a reception at 2:30 p.m., award presentations at 3 p.m. and general faculty meeting at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, in 211 Hubbard Hall.
