Interprofessional Education Celebration Day at Wichita State is Friday, May 3

The College of Health Professions will host its 2nd Annual Interprofessional Education Celebration Day from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, May 3, in Ahlberg Hall lobby. Remarks are at noon. College faculty, staff and students will showcase more than 20 interprofessional accomplishments from this past year. Media are welcome to attend.

In response to national initiatives, the College of Health Professions is continuing its implementation of a college-wide interprofessional education program that will include all students in collaborative activities to learn about, from and with each other.

Pending final approval, beginning with the admission classes of fall semester 2013, all students in degree-seeking status are expected to complete a minimum of one interprofessional activity during the academic year of 2013-2014.

This program will meet national guidelines and standards for interprofessional health care education which will prepare CHP graduates to provide enhanced quality, safety and person-centered care.
