* Connie Morris and Randy Brown, longtime Elliott School of Communication faculty members, will be honored at a retirement reception from 2-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 8) in the first floor Wallace Commons in Elliott Hall. It's a drop-by event, with no formal program. No RSVP is necessary.

* The WSU Graduate School is hosting the ninth annual university-wide Graduate Research and Scholarly Projects Symposium from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 8) in the Marcus Welcome Center. Feel free to attend as much of the day as you like. The symposium is designed to spread awareness on campus about the state-of-the-art research and scholarly projects being conducted by WSU graduate students.

* The next speaker in the Spring 2013 Physics Seminar series is professor H. Hamdeh of Wichita State at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 8) in 126 Jabara Hall. The lecture will be "Recent studies in nano-structure with Mossbauer Spectroscopy."

* The Spring 2013 Chemistry Colloquium series will conclude with graduate student presentations at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, May 8) in 224 McKinley Hall.
