Co-op celebrates success
At the breakfast, former co-op student Abhishek Bajaj told his personal success story. He graduated in May 2011, and when he walked across the stage he already had seven semesters of relevant work experience. He explained to the audience just how important the co-op program was in helping him obtain a successful position after graduating.
"Co-op allowed me to not only gain experience with the technology and tools I knew I would be using, but it also allowed me to build the relationships and networks that guaranteed my success after graduating."
Andrea Schultz, an education major who currently has a co-op position at Marshall Middle School, presented the award for Faculty of the Year. Schultz invited Kris Ehling from the College of Education to come up and receive the award.
Sydney Blanton, an entrepreneurship and management major, and co-op student at MDS Kansas, welcomed Donella Aubuchon to receive the award for Employer of the Year. Aubuchon accepted the award while attributing all the credit to, "the wonderful students and staff from WSU's Co-op program."
