* Pardon our mess -- walls and cubicles are coming down in the Human Resources building. Actual demolition/construction at the south end of the building is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 28, and is expected to take about four months.
* Nan Myers will be honored at a retirement reception from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, in the lower level of Ablah Library. During her 19 years at the University Libraries, Nan Myers has served as special projects cataloger, government documents and patents and trademarks librarian, and more recently as director for Public Services. The reception is a drop-by event with remarks scheduled for 2:30 p.m. All are welcome. No RSVP is necessary.
* The Ulrich Museum's free, outdoor summer music series, Art For Your Ears, kicks off the 2013 season with Chuck Pyle at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, on the McKnight Art Center plaza. Pyle, who has performed on Austin City Limits, writes songs about love lost and love found, forgetful cowboys, and heroic highway patrolmen. For more information, go to:

* The Ulrich Museum of Art presents the WSU School of Art and Design 19th Faculty Biennial now through Sunday, Aug. 11. The university teachers are simultaneously exceptional artists, art historians and graphic designers.
