Join Wichita State University’s Summer Choir

The Wichita State University Summer Choir announces a call for singers age 14 and older to participate in a program titled “A French Connection.”

Beginning Monday, June 3, rehearsals are from 5-6:45 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the choir room in Duerksen Music Building (Room C-107).

The concert is scheduled for Thursday evening, June 27, in Wiedemann Hall.

The program includes a variety of music which is not sung in French, but has a connection to that country. This includes the “Requiem” by composer Gabrielle Faure, which will be accompanied by Professor Lynnne Davis on the Marcusen organ.

Other pieces include a medley from “Les Miserables,” based on the French revolution, and a medley from “South Pacific,” whose main character is a Frenchman.
