The Office of Admissions recently co-hosted two unique events with local companies. Shocker Showcase at High Touch Technologies and Airbus were recruitment events in which prospective students and parents heard from WSU graduates employed at each business.

Attendees enjoyed a facility tour and other activities with company employees, and learned more about how WSU can help students achieve career and professional goals for engineering and business majors.

Eighty-eight prospective students and parents, and more than 25 High Touch Technologies and Airbus employees, engaged with one another during the events.

The students who attended the Airbus event were able to learn more about the different types of engineering work done as evident from what an attendee wrote on an after-event evaluation, "I enjoyed the group session because they gave me a greater understanding of what engineers do every day at Airbus."
