The fourth award of the Maha "Maggie" Sawan Fellowship for Graduate Students will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday, June 7, in the reserve section, Leisure Reading Room, Ablah Library. The recipient is Vijay Sankar Venkitachalam, grad student in electrical engineering. This award was established by Edwin Sawan, professor emeritus in electrical engineering and computer science to honor the memory of his late wife, Maha "Maggie" Sawan. The award is made every semester to a different WSU graduate student for $6,400, divided between two consecutive semesters. All are welcome to attend.
