* You're invited to the fourth award of the Maha "Maggie" Sawan Fellowship for Graduate Students at 9 a.m. today (Friday, June 7) in the reserve section, Leisure Reading Room, Ablah Library. The recipient is Vijay Sankar Venkitachalam, grad student in electrical engineering. This award was established by Edwin Sawan, professor emeritus in electrical engineering and computer science, to honor the memory of his late wife, Maha "Maggie" Sawan.

* In an effort to share information between departments at WSU, the National Institute for Aviation Research has announced a series of informal lunch discussions to be held at NIAR's main location on campus. The first lunch will be held Friday, June 21, with additional dates on Friday, July 26, and Friday, Aug. 30.

* WSU has transitioned into a new accreditation model as required by our accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The new model requires the university to engage in a quality improvement project, also known as a Quality Initiative. The university's Quality Initiative is the Graduation Partnership, and the first annual report has been issued.
