* For the 14th consecutive year, WSU music students and faculty have benefited from the loan of new Yamaha pianos for use in our School of Music. These pianos are scheduled for rotation from the program and must be sold. The public sale will be held from 9 a.m-2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in Duerksen Fine Arts Center. However, these pianos are available to WSU alumni, faculty and staff by calling 263-1564 to schedule a preview appointment on Friday, June 7.
* The Office of Human Resources has enhanced the employment area of its website to help applicants better understand Wichita State and the Wichita community. These recruiting tools should position WSU to better find candidates to meet our employment needs and attain the goals of the university's new strategic plan for the future needs of our campus. For questions or suggestions, contact Dale Catlin at 978-6150.

* The Performance Management Process for classified employees requires a mid-year discussion between April 1 and June 30. You will not assign a rating, but you will discuss the established objectives and competencies and the employee's progress toward meeting these goals. After the discussion with the employee, have him/her sign on page 10 of the form under mid-year discussion signatures to document that the discussion took place. If you have questions, call Joan Antes at 978-6151 or Frankie Brown at 978-3540.
* The Ulrich Museum's free, outdoor summer music series, Art For Your Ears, kicks off the 2013 season with Chuck Pyle at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, on the McKnight Art Center plaza. Pyle, who has performed on Austin City Limits, writes songs about love lost and love found, forgetful cowboys, and heroic highway patrolmen.
