* In an effort to share information between departments at WSU, the National Institute for Aviation Research has announced a series of informal lunch discussions to be held at NIAR's main location on campus. The first lunch will be held Friday, June 21, with additional dates on Friday, July 26, and Friday, Aug. 30.

* Faculty and staff with middle school-age students are invited to send their children to Future Shocker Camp from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 10. The cost is $15 and includes program materials, lunch and snacks. To be eligible, students must be entering grades 6 through 8 in the fall with at least a 2.00 GPA. Reservations are required. * Wichita State and Kansas State University researchers are working together to begin preliminary research work on the impact of the burgeoning energy exploration on older adults in rural and frontier Kansas. The project is supported in part by the Cassat Regional Institute on Aging Research Fund housed in the WSU Regional Institute on Aging.
