* Human Resources reminds all full-time faculty, classified and unclassified staff that the dependent/spouse tuition assistance deadline for fall applications is Monday, July 1.

* Understanding finance at WSU can be a challenge for budget officers and support staff. On Tuesday, July 23, Lois Tatro will present WSU Finance 101, which includes information on GU and RU funding, how to stay on top of departmental finances, processing revenue, expenses, BPC cards, travel and more. If you have questions regarding the finance process, send them to training@wichita.edu by Monday, July 15. * Free HIV testing will be offered from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Student Health Services as part of National HIV Testing Day. No appointment is needed and testing is open to students, staff and faculty. Contact Student Health Services at 978-3620 for any questions. Take the test, take control.

* The WSU Summer Choir presents "A French Connection" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in Wiedemann Hall. The program includes a variety of music that is not sung in French, but has a connection to that country.

* The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics presents professor Robert Finn of Stanford University as part of its lecture series in the mathematical sciences at 3 p.m. Friday, June 28, in 372 Jabara Hall. Refreshments will be available prior to the lecture at 2:30 p.m. in 353 Jabara Hall.

* Faculty and staff with middle school-age students are invited to send their children to Future Shocker Camp from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, July 10. The cost is $15 and includes program materials, lunch and snacks. To be eligible, students must be entering grades 6 through 8 in the fall with at least a 2.00 GPA. Reservations are required.
