The Department of Physical Therapy welcomes professor Robert Manske, as chairman effective today (July 1). Manske has served the department since 1998 as a faculty member and for the past year as assistant chair.

Manske has been recognized for excellence in teaching and research through college, university and national awards. He has served on many College of Health Professions and university committees, and he currently is the vice president of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Education.

Camilla Wilson has stepped down as chairwoman to pursue other interests within the department and college. Her 12-year service as chairwoman and her leadership has seen the department transition to offering the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
