Newlin named assistant director of admissions

As the result of a formal search, Amy Newlin has been named assistant director of the Office of Admissions. She'll oversee the staff and processes used to admit students. Newlin previously spent 10 years in higher education at Friends University, working in both the admissions and registrar's offices. She was the admissions lead in the university implementation of Banner software, and project lead in the move to online registration and grading. Since she came to Wichita State in August 2012, she has been with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, serving as its data and systems coordinator.
