Reminders

* Adjunct instructors who are teaching online or hybrid courses this fall are invited to attend one of four "Early Bird Blackboard Help" sessions offered by the Media Resources Center this summer. The sessions will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 10); 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11; and 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, and Friday, July 19. Contact patricia.morriss@wichita.edu to RSVP or to schedule a one-on-one session if you are unable to attend one of these sessions.

* Wichita State and Kansas State University researchers are working together to begin preliminary research work on the impact of the burgeoning energy exploration on older adults in rural and frontier Kansas. The project is supported in part by the Cassat Regional Institute on Aging Research Fund housed in the WSU Regional Institute on Aging.

* The National Endowment for the Humanities provides a $6,000 stipend to support full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two months. Please submit a narrative (no longer than three pages), a two-page resume and a letter of support from your dean to the Office of Research and Technology Transfer via proposals@wichita.edu no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

* The Ulrich Museum's free, outdoor summer music series, Art For Your Ears, continues its 2013 season with Vance Gilbert at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 11, on the McKnight Art Center plaza, which connects the Ulrich Museum with WSU's School of Art and Design.
