Reminders

* Federal wage-and-hour lawsuits hit a record high between April 2012 and March 2013. Sign up for Human Resources Wage and Hour training class to make sure you do all you can to limit your liability as a supervisor. Classes are offered Tuesday, July 23; Thursday, Oct. 10; and Tuesday, Dec. 3. Log in to myWSU to sign up, or contact randi.lindquist@wichita.edu for assistance.

* Adjunct instructors who are teaching online or hybrid courses this fall are invited to attend one of four "Early Bird Blackboard Help" sessions offered by the Media Resources Center this summer. The sessions will be held at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday, July 16) and Friday, July 19. Contact patricia.morriss@wichita.edu to RSVP or to schedule a one-on-one session if you are unable to attend one of these sessions.

* Learn ways to develop your customer service skills in a friendly, relaxed environment. We will discuss real-life examples of customer service and how you can apply effective strategies to your everyday work practices from 1:30-4 p.m. today (Tuesday, July 16) in the Media Resources Center. * Human Resources reminds all non-teaching, benefits-eligible state employees at WSU that the deadline for fall tuition assistance is Friday, July 19.
