According to a report released this year by the Kansas Board of Regents, Wichita State was the top destination for transfer students from Kansas community colleges during fall 2011. In both volume and percentage, more transfer students chose to enroll at WSU than any other KBOR institution. Wichita State was specifically the number one destination for students from Butler, Cowley, Hutchinson, Dodge City and Pratt Community Colleges. Overall, nearly one in four of all transfers from the Kansas community colleges who enrolled at a KBOR university, chose WSU.
