Shocking recruitment Tip of the Week

Prospective students and their parents are savvy customers. They often ask the admissions staff for specific data points and examples of what Wichita State students are doing and what our graduates have accomplished. The staff, in turn, convey the data points that they are made aware of during relevant conversations.

For example, for prospective students who participated in Model United Nations in high school, admissions could share that WSU students held more than 50 delegate positions in Model UN gatherings in St. Louis, Chicago and the Galapagos Islands during 2012-13.

For students who dream of working at NASA, admissions staff can brag that WSU students held 30 NASA internship placements in the past five years alone.

For prospective students looking to study abroad while majoring in business, it would be conveyed that during 2012-13, 25 WSU business majors studied in more than eight countries.
