* WSU faculty and staff interested in diversity and multiculturalism are encouraged to submit a proposal by Thursday, Aug. 1, for a presentation or workshop to the Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism Oct. 21-22 at Emporia State University.

* The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has released a funding opportunity announcement PAR-13-256 due Jan. 25, 2014. Faculty interested in preparing a proposal must notify the Office of Research and Technology Transfer at proposals@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Review the agency's guidelines carefully.

* Student Involvement is updating its database of Greek alumni employed at WSU. * Grammy-winning songwriters Mark Selby and Tia Sillers return to Wichita for a special season-closing Art for Your Ears performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the McKnight Outdoor Plaza between the Ulrich Museum and the School of Art and Design. Admission is free.

* Faculty and staff are invited to atttend the McNair Scholars Program 18th Annual Closing Symposium from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Don't miss this opportunity to recognize students for their research efforts. RSVP to 978-3139 by Tuesday, July 30.

* The Learn More -- 2013 WSU Technology Fair will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29. Discover the many ways technology is used on campus today in presentations by members of WSU's faculty and staff.
