* 2013-2014 parking decals for faculty/staff have been mailed from the Accounts Receivable department to all campus box numbers on file. If you received a permit, this means you have a payroll deduction for parking. If you have questions, please call 978-3076.

* Grammy-winning songwriters Mark Selby and Tia Sillers return to Wichita for a special season-closing Art for Your Ears performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the McKnight Outdoor Plaza between the Ulrich Museum and the School of Art and Design. Admission is free.

* Responsive design (mobile-friendly display) will be enabled for all Department Tools pages on Thursday, Aug. 1. Department Tools administrators need to review all pages in mobile view to identify any problems before the mobile look goes live. * The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has released a funding opportunity announcement PAR-13-256 due Jan. 25, 2014. Faculty interested in preparing a proposal must notify the Office of Research and Technology Transfer at proposals@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2. Review the agency's guidelines carefully.

* Remember to submit your campus events to the online calendar for Wichita State. Early entry is crucial to campus planners, campus media and statewide print and broadcast media, all of whom need to know the time, date, place and cost of any individual event.

* Volunteers are asked to help with Convocation 2013, scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Charles Koch Arena. The time commitment will vary depending on your assignment(s).
