* Grammy-winning songwriters Mark Selby and Tia Sillers return to Wichita for a special season-closing Art for Your Ears performance at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, Aug. 1) at the McKnight Outdoor Plaza between the Ulrich Museum and the School of Art and Design. Admission is free.

* The Media Resources Center Instructional Technology Group has posted its faculty development schedule for the fall semester. New features this year include monthly Brown Bag discussions, "Blackboard Tuesdays" and suggested prerequisites. * Volunteers are asked to help with Convocation 2013, scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Charles Koch Arena. The time commitment will vary depending on your assignment(s). * Student Involvement will host Back to School Bash, a kick-off event for the upcoming school year at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Duerksen Amphitheater. Student Involvement invites departments to participate in this event by either working a game or creating a unique activity. * The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers (especially drivers) to be conversation leaders. Conversation leaders spend time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills.
