* Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers, especially drivers, to be conversation leaders. * Providing a safe and secure environment for the WSU community is a top priority. "Campus Safety-Active Shooter" is a new live training initiative designed to enhance WSU's proactive approach for a safe campus environment and to prepare our faculty, staff and students in case of a campus violence incident. Training will focus on what to do in an active campus shooter incident and how to identify and report concerning behaviors. To view and register for scheduled sessions, go to myWSU, click "Employee Help" and go to "myTraining."

* The next opportunity to tour the Rhatigan Renewal construction zone will be Monday, Aug. 19. The tour will be led by a Dondlinger Construction employee and begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. in front of the RSC Information Desk. Hard hats and protective eyewear will be provided. Tour guests must wear long pants, low-heeled and closed toed shoes. If interested, send contact information to megan.lamb@wichita.edu or call 978-7008.

* Please submit your campus events to Wichita State's online calendar. Early entry is crucial to campus planners, campus media and statewide print and broadcast media, all of whom need to know the time, date, place and cost of any individual event.
