Reminders

* Faculty, staff and graduate assistants are invited to learn how the library supports instruction and research. * Ladies of WSU who submitted an RSVP are reminded to attend the CUW Open House, a come-and-go event, from 3-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 14) at the Ulrich Museum. Stop by for light refreshments and information for the upcoming year.

That page includes a link to a syllabus template you are welcome to adapt to your own needs, and a series of syllabus statements from various offices around campus that you are invited to include in your syllabus.

* Share in a celebration of memories by friends of Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, grandparents of President Barack Obama, and other stories of Butler County's history from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Garfield Elementary School, 1053 Osage Street in Augusta. RSVP by Thursday, Aug. 15, at http://www.obamakansasheritage.org. The event is sponsored by the Kansas Humanties Council along with several others, including the WSU History Department.

* Campus Recreation will open its new fitness program, Cycle Fit, to its Shocker Fitness Pass holders starting Monday, Aug. 19. Let the music push you through fun, multi-terrain rides. Make sure to bring water and be ready to sweat. All fitness levels are welcome.

* All interested faculty and staff are invited to attend the Office of Admissions' Campus Visit Workshop from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Marcus Welcome Center. Learn about common student questions, engage in roundtable discussions and hear more about the campus visit scheduling process. Faculty and staff will also share some of their best practices and experiences from meeting with visitors.
