Reminders

* WSU has transitioned into a new accreditation model as required by our accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The new model requires the university to engage in a quality improvement project, also known as a Quality Initiative. The university's Quality Initiative is the Graduation Partnership, and the first annual report has been issued.

* Kansas NSF EPSCoR (KNE) is seeking white papers for collaborative initiatives to be included in its next Research Infrastructure Improvement Track-2 proposal to be submitted to the National Science Foundation in January 2014. The white paper will be due to KNE no later than Saturday, Aug. 31, and should be emailed to nsfepscor@ku.edu. Please see the NSF program solicitation for more information.

* WSU will host a free flu shot clinic for faculty, staff and any spouse who are covered by health insurance plans offered by WSU through the state of Kansas from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in 265 RSC (Lucas Room). To receive a flu shot, you must make your appointment online.

* If you have a yellow parking hangtag or sticker, you're encouraged to park in designated yellow permit lots. Visit http://www.wichita.edu/parking to find the yellow permit lots reserved for faculty and staff. Please leave the green "free" lots for students and others without parking permits.
