* The third finalist for dean of the College of Engineering, Arup Maji, will give a presentation at an open forum at 1:30 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 26) in 211 Hubbard Hall. * Faculty and staff are invited to Sundae Fun Day, a Welcomefest event, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 26) on the south lawn of Grace Wilkie Hall. Create an ice cream sundae while gaining information about nine departments in Grace Wilkie Hall and Grace Wilkie Annex.
* Student Involvement is hosting an open house from 2-4 p.m. today (Monday, Aug. 26) to show off its new office in 262 RSC. Light refreshments will be served.
* Join in WSU's fall tradition -- Convocation 2013. This year's event will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Koch Arena. Bring your Shocker spirit and enjoy an exciting program, a free Pizza Hut lunch and get a free T-shirt for attending. Be sure to pick up a program agenda with your tickets as you enter Koch Arena in order to receive your T-shirt and lunch.
* Meredith Minkler, who holds a doctoral degree in public health, will give a communitywide presentation to introduce Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) from 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Lowe Auditorium, Hughes Metropolitan Complex at 29th Street N. and Oliver in Wichita. Admission is free.
