Jim Burns, 81, passed away on Monday, Aug. 19. He retired from WSU's physical plant in 1994. His daughter-in-law, Denise, works in the WSU History Department. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today (Thursday, Aug. 22) at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Services are planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
