* Internships give students an advantage in the job market. WSU offers internships for all majors in Washington, D.C., and Topeka. Stipends cover most of the cost. * The AAUP is starting monthly meetings on the last Friday of the month. All interested parties are invited to attend the first fall meeting to discuss ongoing concerns and future plans for the AAUP from 3:30-5 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 30) in 137 Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * There is an upcoming limited submission to NSF -- Partnerships for Innovation: Building Innovation Capacity (NSF 13-587). WSU is limited to two proposals as the lead applicant in response to this funding opportunity. If you are interested in preparing a Letter of Intent for the Nov. 18 due date, you must notify proposals@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, to allow time for an internal review of projects if needed.
