* Here are this week's MRC Instructional Technology development sessions -- "Setting up Assessments" (Blackboard Tuesday) at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sep. 3), "Intro to Master Classroom and DP+" at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 4, and "Technology Resources at WSU" at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sep. 5.

* Due to relocating, the University Bookstore is closed this week and will reopen next week in their temporary locations. The University Bookstore is relocating textbooks to 233 RSC and apparel to 142 RSC.

* The Office of Multicultural Affairs will present a talk by music executive Amir Windom, "Going from Success to Significance" at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday, Sept. 3) in the CAC Theater. Windom will share intimate experiences, knowledge and guidance about being a young executive and the challenges faced.

* Qualtrics is a Web-based, research surveying software that is available to the WSU community. It is easy to use, customizable, quick feedback, results can be exported to SPSS, Excel and, in addition, you may use the report feature, collaborate with others and send automatic thank yous and reminders. * Faculty and staff are invited to the 2013 Faculty Welcome Assembly at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in 209 Hubbard Hall. Following refreshments, the program will open with welcoming remarks from WSU Faculty Senate President Victoria Mosack. The 2013-14 Faculty Senate executive committee will be introduced, followed by an introduction and welcome to new faculty by WSU President John Bardo. Vice President for Academic Affairs Tony Vizzini will give remarks.

* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success will present "Navigating the Tenure Track: Processes and Expectations" and "How to be a HIPP Professor" Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, respectively.
