* Meredith Minkler, who holds a doctoral degree in public health, will give a communitywide presentation to introduce Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) from 3:30-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 11) in Lowe Auditorium, Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Admission is free.

* Professor David Archer from the Department of Geophysical Sciences, University of Chicago, will present a Physics Seminar lecture at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 11) in 128 Jabara Hall. The lecture is titled "The Importance of Longevity in a Greenhouse Gas as an Agent of Climate Change." Refreshments and discussion follow the presentation.
* The Fall 2013 Chemistry Department Colloquium will feature Michael Jensen of Ohio University presenting "Half-sandwich Scorpionate Complexes for Catalysis and Biomimetic Coordination Chemistry," at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Sept. 11) in 224 McKinley Hall.
* The Office of Research and Tech Transfer has implemented an online effort certification process. If you worked on any federally funded grants or had cost match on a federally funded grant, you received an email asking that you complete the certification process by Friday, Sept. 13.
