The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites students and student groups to its Safe Zone training from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, in 209 Hubbard Hall. OMA has partnered with Human Resources to bring the students, faculty and staff a new and improved Safe Zone Training. The first training is designed for just students. The goal of Safe Zone training is to provide a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally (LGBTQA) persons. By attending these training, individuals are committed to being a Safe Zone ally in which bigotry and discrimination, specifically regarding LGBTQA persons, are not tolerated.
