* Free your toes in support of the Office of Multicultural Affairs 2nd Annual A Day Without Shoes from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 12) on the RSC north patio. The event raises awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on one's life by going without.
* There is an upcoming limited submission to NSF -- Partnerships for Innovation: Building Innovation Capacity (NSF 13-587). WSU is limited to two proposals as the lead applicant in response to this funding opportunity. If you are interested in preparing a Letter of Intent for the Nov. 18 due date, you must notify proposals@wichita.edu by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, to allow time for an internal review of projects if needed. * WSU will hold a meeting for faculty, staff and students to discuss the next phase of the strategic plan from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Preferred Medical Systems Multi Purpose Center adjacent to Charles Koch Arena. If you plan to attend, respond to strategicplanning@wichita.edu.
* A new form will be required for classified performance evaluations beginning Oct. 1. Supervisors should complete their current end-of-the-year reviews by Monday, Sept. 30, and begin using the new form in October. Performance Management Process training will be offered during September to educate supervisors on the new form in the CEEDS system. Completion of training is mandatory for all supervisors of classified employees. Log in to myWSU, select EmpHelp underneath the weather, and myTraining to sign up for a session.
