The annual Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism will be held this year at Emporia State University on Monday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 22. Named after WSU's own Michael Tilford, the conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators of Kansas Board of Regents institutions across the state to share ideas and resources for building culturally-competent campus communities.

This year's featured speakers are writer and storyteller Carmen Agra Deedy and Tia Brown McNair, senior director in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Student Success at the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
