* The State Employee Health Plan is hosting an Open Enrollment health plan informational meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in the Marcus Welcome Center. You are encouraged to attend this session where SEHP representatives will present information, answer questions and hear your feedback. Online Open Enrollment is from Oct. 1-31.
* Applications for Multidisciplinary Research Project Awards (MURPA) are due to the Office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25. Application and instructions are available on the RTT website and may be submitted electronically to proposals@wichita.edu or campus box 7.
* The annual Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism will be held at Emporia State University Oct. 21-22. Named after WSU's own Michael Tilford, the conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators of Kansas Board of Regents institutions across the state to share ideas and resources for building culturally competent campus communities. * The Fall 2013 Chemistry Department Colloquium will feature Phillip Klebba of Kansas State University presenting "Active ion transport through an un-energized membrane" at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in 224 McKinley Hall.
* KMUW needs new and experienced volunteers to answer pledge phones during its fall on-air pledge drive that begins Wednesday, Oct. 16. Volunteers need to attend one training session for up to one hour.
