Every fall, the university assesses a representative sample of first-time, full-time freshmen in terms of their entering abilities in critical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem-solving and writing skills. The faculty, in turn, use the data to make improvements in these core areas. The Collegiate Learning Assessment, a nationally available assessment tool, is used to assess these skills. Each student who completes the assessment receives a $25 Quik Trip participant card. There are many times available, including how to sign up. Please encourage students to participate.
