Scientific Teaching offered by OFDSS

The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success is offering Scientific Teaching from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in 211 Neff Hall. Scientific Teaching applies the practices and values of science to teaching scientific content, but these strategies can be used in any classroom. We will illustrate how elements of active learning, formative assessments and backward design strategies can be used to develop instructional materials for different learning styles across disciplines. This is an offering in the Institute on High Impact Practices, which is open to all instructors on campus. Register by contacting ofdss@wichita.edu or 978-3209. Feel free to bring your lunch.
