* KMUW needs new and experienced volunteers to answer pledge phones during its fall on-air pledge drive that begins Wednesday, Oct. 16. Volunteers need to attend one training session for up to one hour. * The annual Michael Tilford Conference on Diversity and Multiculturalism will be held at Emporia State University Oct. 21-22. Named after WSU's own Michael Tilford, the conference provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and administrators of Kansas Board of Regents institutions across the state to share ideas and resources for building culturally competent campus communities.
