The Office of Faculty Development and Student Success will present the Boyer Model of Scholarship from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in 107 McKinley Hall. In "Scholarship Reconsidered," Ernest Boyer promoted an expansion of the traditional definition of scholarly research to include the scholarship of discovery, the scholarship of integration, the scholarship of engagement and the scholarship of teaching and learning. In the context of WSU's new strategic plan, this session will describe and promote discussion of Boyer's model and begin a conversation about how it could be adapted for our campus.
