A power outage scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14, will affect Hubbard Hall, Jabara Hall, Lindquist Hall, Heskett Center and Grace Wilkie Hall. All five buildings will be without power on that day, the first day of Fall Break, starting as early as 7 a.m. and continuing to as late as 11 p.m. In the event of inclement weather on Monday, Oct. 14, the power outage will be postponed until Tuesday, Oct. 15. Because of the outage, the Heskett Center will be closed Oct. 14.

This outage is being scheduled to allow for the replacement of two (2) main power building distribution switches and a concurrent elevation of those switches to an above-ground location out of their existing underground locations. These switch relocations are being undertaken to improve switch reliability and serviceability in a dry above-ground environment, away from wet, underground conditions that have been detrimental to our campus power distribution systems.
